How to remove steering wheel in lexus ls400?
As with any control you need to first remove the cover (either completely cover or logo on the bolt) and then there is either an airbag housing (hard to remove) or wheel bolt in the middle.
The steering wheel on my Lexus squeaks when I make turns. Anyone know why?
I have a 3 year old Lexus ES 300. From November last year when I turn the steering wheel make, it makes a crackling sound like bass plastic rubbing against plastic.
Hey...I thought only American cars had stuff break...Anyway, Most likely it is wiring in the column rubbing. It should still be under warranty take it in and complain! If the warranty is up complain as loud as you can. Lexus should take care of you.

2013 Lexus GS 350 Review by Carey Russ +VIDEO
From its debut in 1993, the GS has provided mid-measurements sedan customers the luxury experience that is Lexus's specialty. The GS combined that Lexus luxury with a good amount of performance -- but never somewhat as much or in the same manner as did its German competitors.
Until now.
The fourth generation GS, all-new for 2013, builds on previous strengths and adds capability faculty -- with no loss of the expected comfort and convenience. Most apparently, the styling is more emotive. Under the bold new skin is an improved chassis podium with a revised suspension system and multiple drive modes for the mostly-familiar drivetrain to take advantage of. There's an F-Sport performance case that brings some of the character of the IS-F sports sedan or even LF-A supercar to the GS. And that performance increase comes with no loss of fuel skill, but, rather, with improved efficiency.
There are two models in the 2013 Lexus GS lineup, the GS 350, powered by the 3.6-liter V6 now with 306 horsepower and the GS 450h cross-breed, which combines a modified version of the 3.6-liter V6 with the Toyota/Lexus full-hybrid system for 338 hp. There is no V8, and given that the power of the V6 is purposes the same as that of the original third-generation GS 430's 300-hp 4.3-liter V8 and not much less that that of the later 342-hp GS 460 (the Hybrid's even closer), in a lighter car, that's a non-question major. The GS 350 can be had with an all-wheel drive system in addition to the standard rear-wheel drive; the Hybrid is rear-wheel drive only. The GS 350 telecasting is a six-speed automatic, not the previous eight-speed, and no step backwards there, either. Faster shifting, earlier torque converter lockup, and facilitate-matching ("throttle blipping" on downshifts) have been adapted from the IS-F transmission for improved performance and efficiency. As in other Toyota/Lexus hybrids, the Compound uses a CVT to mix power from the engine and traction motor.
