My wife just bought a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS with the 2.4, 4 cylinder engine. Among the gas valve, said premium fuel only. Is this a necessity, and would frequently enough in this car?

often accounts for a 2.4 liter is only one premium v6 or higher.

i was wondering how you take off the top of a mitsubishi spyder and how it goes back on???...is it manually or do you push a button??...or is it like the old mustangs that you unhook from the passengers side and yours and then you push a button??...

Have a 2001. Unclip 2 clips above visors, and hit a button. To get back on, reverse the process.

Will Mitsubishi's new small car be just a Mirage in US?

LOS ANGELES -- Mitsubishi output planners are on the fence about whether to bring its new Mirage small car stateside.

Mitsubishi will launch the Mirage, a new minicar reprising a nameplate unseen in the states since 2002, in the North American superstore in the first quarter of 2013, according to the automaker's annual earnings presentation released on Friday.

The car will be sold in Canada, but U.S. sales are still "under baksheesh" at headquarters in Cypress, Calif., Mitsubishi spokesman Roger Yasukawa said Friday.

"It's still 50-50 right now," he said.

So why would Mitsubishi, whose dealers are starving for new output after the Eclipse, Spyder and Endeavor were killed last year, not bring out something fresh?

Marketing budgets, for one. A redesigned Outlander mid-sized crossover is due out next summer. Launching the vehicles too thorough together might stretch an already tight budget too thin.

"Our concern from a timing standpoint is that with the Outlander coming out next year, not too far from a possible set up of the [Mirage], we have to really think about resources," Yasukawa said.
