Can you unlock an Alltel Blackberry Curve and use it on a Verizon contract?

Someone gave me an Alltel Blackberry they had bought at a charity auction. I already have a contract with Verizon. Can I unlock the Verizon Blackberry and use it with my Verizon contract?

Yes, now you can. Both CDMA networks, so it is compatible. Make sure the curve of Alltel is unlocked. No, Verizon can not unlock the phone. Alltel customer care can unlock for you or you can buy the unlock code off of eBay.

I was given an Alltel Blackberry Curve. Can I get it activated for use with my AT&T contract?

The Blackberry is not activated on the original Alltel network for several months.

Todd, the Alltel BlackBerry Curve GSM and unlocked, it must be able to work at AT & T. However, if it is not a GSM model and sealed, you're in luck.
