Is Toyota All Wheel Drive worth the money?
I'm looking at the Toyota Venza, and I'm not sure if I should get the AWD version. What is the real benefit? Is it worth the extra money?
Unless you live in an area with mountains and snow, there is no benefit, except for reduced fuel consumption.
If you must drive through snow up and down hills but practical.

I replaced the wheels on my 2009 Toyota Venza front wheel drive of the original factory: 245/50/20 wheels with 7.5 "/ 20" offset 38 for a new set: 265/40/22 wheels with 9.5 "/ 22" offset 40.

New York 2012: 2013 Toyota Venza Gets Minor Updates
Not to be outdone by its rivals, the 2013 Toyota Venza received a manager of updates in an attempt to keep it fresh against competitors like the Nissan Murano, Ford Edge, and Honda Crosstour.
The new 2013 Toyota Venza wears poor styling tweaks that evolve — not redefine — the crossover’s look. Most notable are new headlights with LED constant lights, and a revised grille with two bars instead of three. Around back, the Venza gains darkened taillights, while new 19-inch wheels medicate up the side profile on LE and XLE trim levels. Inside, a revised interior has a new steering wheel and is now available with Toyota’s Entune infotainment system. Three new skin colors are also available: Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica.
The 2013 Toyota Venza continues to be offered in LE, XLE, and Meagre trim levels, with either a 181-hp 2.7-liter I-4 or 268-hp 3.5-liter V-6 packed underhood. Front-to what place drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The only available transmission for all Venza models is a six-speed automatic.
